Sleep and Routine

A book a week, a chapter a night

A new book every week, in seven chapters — all of them unlocked from day one, because you run the evening, not the app.

A book in Nori Tales lasts a week and comes in seven chapters. The obvious way to read it is one chapter a night: five or six minutes that fit inside an evening routine. It is not a requirement.

Every chapter is open from the first day

All seven chapters unlock the moment the book is published. Nothing stops a child who wants three of them back to back on a Saturday morning, and skipping two evenings breaks nothing.

That was a deliberate choice. Locking chapters to days would ask a family to fit its evening around the app's calendar — and the app has no way of knowing which evening was exhausting and which one had room for one more chapter.

No streaks, no badges, no required check-in

We do not count reading days. We do not send a notification about the night you missed. What keeps a routine alive is not the guilt you feel when you break it — guilt is the reason routines get abandoned.

The end of the week is quiet on purpose

The last chapter is a closing chapter: the knot loosens, things settle, and the story comes down towards sleep. Putting the most eventful chapter last would be a strange design for a child who is trying to fall asleep.
