Editorial policy

This page explains how Nori Tales stories are made, the rules they follow, and what happens when something is not right. It applies to every book we deliver — the weekly programme, special tales and the books in our catalogue.

How a story is made

  1. The age band sets the rules first. Before anything is written, the child's age band fixes the length of each chapter, the number of scenes, and which themes and techniques may be used.
  2. The weekly theme comes from our programme. The order of themes is planned by Nori Tales for each age band, so that each week builds on the last. Families choose the characters and the world; they do not need to design the lessons.
  3. Drafting is assisted by AI. Stories, illustrations and narration are produced with the help of artificial intelligence, working inside the rules above and the details a parent provides.
  4. Every book is checked before delivery. The story plan, each chapter and a final review are checked automatically against the age band's rules. A book that fails is corrected or regenerated; it is not delivered as it is.

What our stories do

  • End calmly. Tension is never left open at the end of a chapter — each one settles down, because it is read at bedtime.
  • Let characters make mistakes and put them right. Asking for help is shown as a normal, good choice.
  • Grow with the child: simple repetition for the youngest, then cause and effect, cooperation and saying "no" safely, then weighing decisions and leaving room for open questions.

What our stories never include

  • Shaming, "bad child" labels, or teaching through punishment.
  • Threats of separation, guilt or frightening scenes for the youngest children.
  • Secrets a child is asked to keep from trusted adults, stereotypes, humiliation, or emotional manipulation.
  • Advertising, product placement, or anything for sale.

Personal details and parents' role

Stories use only what a parent chooses to provide — a first name or nickname, an age range, interests, favourite characters. Please do not add sensitive information. Generated content can sometimes contain small errors or unexpected wording, so we encourage parents to read a story before sharing it with their child. Nori Tales is for education and entertainment; it is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice.

Our catalogue

Books in the Nori Tales catalogue are published by our own team. A book can be taken out of the catalogue at any time if it no longer meets these standards. Books that families create for themselves are private and are never published in the catalogue.

Reporting a problem

If a book contains something inappropriate, misleading, or someone's personal information, use Report content on the book's page. Reported books are assessed and, where necessary, removed from view while we review them. If a book you ordered has a technical problem, we will regenerate or correct it — see our Refund Policy. You can also write to us at support@noritales.com.

Our blog

Blog articles are written and edited by the Nori Tales team for parents. They share general information and experience; they are not a substitute for professional advice about an individual child.
